Hay viajes que, más que un destino, proponen recorrer un caminocircular. Ritual, el nuevo álbum de Rita Donte, es la bitácora de uno de esos viajes. Es un retorno, no solo a las raíces sonoras que la marcaron desde su infancia en Cuba, sino también a las inquietudes que alguna vez soñaron con transformarse en canción. Este regreso, sin embargo, no es un simple ejercicio de nostalgia, sino la colisión de sus orígenes con los aprendizajes y geografías que le han dado forma: el primer piano familiar, los esforzados años del baile flamenco, los pasacalles habaneros del grupo Gigantería, los atardeceres del Malecón, el bullicio caleidoscópico de Ciudad de México, la serenidad de las playas de Baja California.
